Has anyone come across a man or a woman who they really liked but when they took their clothes off the stretch marks made you feel less attracted to them? I dated a guy who had lost a LOT of weight and had stretch marks on his belly and a fairly sizeable amount of loose skin (he needed a tummy tuck) but that didn't affect my dating him or our sex life.
I've been obese and have stretch marks all over, and some loose skin and I've never had a guy tell me he found it repulsive so if that was the case, I didn't know it. I look like I look...I'd rather have the stretch marks and loose skin than have it all be full of fat again.
Once you get to the point of having sex with them I think you already like them enough that their flaws don't matter. Who cares as long as they seem to care and take care of their body? Sometimes stretch marks can't be avoided due to body building and having babies. It's just shows how well traveled a person is. If someone doesn't want to date you because of your stretch marks then they are very shallow and I wouldn't want to be with them anyway and would rather find that out before I had sex with them.
The majority of the population have stretch-marks. So I find it strange when I come across someone who DOESN'T have them.
People should look at stretch marks as a sign of maturing, I mean....for example. When women mature they get breasts, and in males, their animal instinct tells them that 'she has breasts, which means she's sexually ready'. And that's why guys find them attractive (well, most do...)
So I say stretch marks should say that this person has grown Or they should be seen in the same light as other parts of maturing, and its something that most people have, so why think of them as a bad thing? I don't see how they're ugly in any way...

but first of all i would like to say that these marks arent the end of the world.
they can be concealed with creams and special slimming products that will gradually fade them away.
it is caused when the excess fat get accumulated under the skin as there the body cant really make place for them.

however maybe those loving the body of someone might ward off when seeing the marks and not turn on..
but those loving the person in whole will accept and love that person despite what....he/she might have blemishes or..dont know even birth marks and things like that.

I have stretch marks...carrying 4 kids will do that to a body. I went through a period in my younger years where I despised them. Now though I tend to look at them as my battle scars lol. This notion was put into my head by my partner, who told me he saw them as something to be proud of, they meant I had carried his babies and he loves all of me.
I have stretch marks from being pregnant with my girls, I hate how they look. But if I were to ever be with some other than my husband they would have to deal with them & I wouldn't want to be with someone who wouldn't. Personally I understand them so I don't mind them on someone else.
Its all on how bad they are, if not that bad, then you can look past it, plus it depends, is it an EXTREME turn off for you, because if it is, some people can not be that happy in a relationship.

I keep reading comments and hearing things from people (both men and women) who say that only women can be sexy, attractive, etc. Because their bodies are curved......I'm sorry, while I agree (even if I am gay) that women are beautiful, curves do not = instant beauty...
What about chiseled abs? Muscular arms? Legs? The body of a Greek god is beautiful, the Greeks seemed to believe so. Ok before any women say anything, I know personality and intelleigence are the important stuff, this question has nothing to do with what is important to women. So anywhoo. I've noticed when overhearing and have read relative to parts on the male physique that women find most attractive or sexiest or favorite. It seems that there is an age factor to some extent. What I mean is that it seems that a nice round, tight butt goes across the board from highschool girls to middle aged women as a favorite male body part, and arms to but less than the gluteous maximus. But what I noticed the difference at least overall is that it seems that abs or midsection is sexier or most attractive to highschool girls or in the younger group, whereas, toned or muscled to some extent chest and shoulders seem to be big favorites for about 23 and up women or more so than abs "overall" at least. So I was wondering if women have some input for why the difference relative to age?

Hey... interesting observation... but it's not really so much about physical age... as it is time period. What a culture finds attractive changes over time... even in just a matter of years. I think that is what you are really looking at. In the 70's really really masculine men were in, in the 80's it was long haired, glam rockers who looked more like girls than most women do. And...sexiness is in the eye of the beholder. You can't really make a generalization about what all women of a certain age want. The world just isn't that cut and dry.
Also, do you prefer big boobs, big butts, skinny legs, thick thighs? Does a woman have to have six pack abs to be sexy?
The most important thing is just plain "chemistry" - if you have that then that will totally compensate for any number of perceived imperfections, real or not.
I like girls with tight tummies and narrow hips the most. Six pack abs are sort of a little too much in my book though. Looks masculine. Breasts to me aren't a real important thing because it's all good there no matter what!

Look at competing swimmers/divers, they often have good looking bodies. Wide shoulders are good, and muscular arms. Tall is not necessary, I've met VERY sexy men that came up to my shoulders only (I'm 174 cms). I know some are in favour of shaving off body hair, I'm not, I think a moderately hairy chest is attractive. This is from across the swimming pool, not from across the room, lol.
Oh, and you should have a good haircut. Find a really good scissor wizard and humbly pay what he asks - a clumsy haircut can spoil otherwise great looks.

you all should know that everyones body is different remember the hourglass shape? the pear shape? I think there's also an apple shape but those are a woman's physique. What YOU want to accomplish is an upside down triangle in your upper body... meaning it can either be a a slim waist or abs whichever you prefer and broader bulk more shapely chest, back and shoulders. You don't have to worry about having a big butt cause that's for the women... a triangle going upwards placed on the lower body because a womans body changes throughout their life during puberty, pregnancy, menopause I think their hips get wider right? so anyways women have more hips than men do which is what gives them their curves. big buttocks and wide hips is what gives a womans shapely curvy physique. Actually neither, you need the athletic or "mesomorph" body type to gain muscle easily.
Ectomorphs, or skinny people, have a hard time gaining muscle or fat.
Endomorphs, or fat people, gain muscle easily but gain fat a lot easier.
Mesomorphs, or athletic people, gain muscle easily and lose weight easily.
All these things are genetic, there ain't much you can do to fix them.
If you're looking to gain muscle you need to eat a lot of protein and you need to work those muscles. Low weight and high reps build tone over bulk. You'll be strong, but your muscles won't be large. If you want to get large you need to up the weight, but keep the reps relatively low. I'm talking between 8-12 at most.
If you want that 6 pack, you need to do crunches and lots of cardio. The crunches build the muscle, the cardio burns the fat so you can see the muscle.
I would think a slightly over weight individual would be the easiest. I say this becuase as a skinny guy myself, I have to intake a large amount protein to pack on the weight. Unfortunately this becomes pretty expensive. Where-as a slightly over weight guy could in theory eat a more balanced diet while working out on a regular basis and get toned quicker. Also, depending on the frequency of the workout and the amount would also determine the building of muscle.just remember, steroids are not a good way to help build muscle. You can't get big fast/easy it takes time. Steroids are bad.
so you want a 6 pack eh? that chub not working any more, or is those pencil arms are failing you as you find your self sailing down the stream of life? well young laddie, it all depends on how you move your muscles when you work out. there are different types of movements for curling to get your self cut or big. they are not the same thing. Farmers are big. convicts are cut. you want a convict body i'm sure, so do a warm up before you start working out. I.E. do push ups sit ups, jumping jacks, and a 2 min run. then start working out with light weights for long periods of time 4 sets of 20 reps.

No offense but 30-40 overweight is considered medically obese. Some women do not mind the beer guts whilst others cannot stand it. I am glad you are very clean and smell good but get a little sweaty by exercising to lose that gut. Do 200+ sit ups a day and use a medicine ball.. I got mine in a month doing 100 a day so if you do 200 then you should be good.

Nice abs on anyone, look nice...it's typically a sign of a generally fit body. Women don't typically get the cut or "6 pack" that guys shoot for...ours are generally just quite tight and firm, versus a soft belly.
Ab strength is useful in some ways, but I'm not aware it makes a signficant difference sexually. I certainly don't seek out great ab guys to date because I think they'll be better in bed. This is the first time i've ever heard anyone try to make that type of connection....
Well as a guy I have to say I started working out because of bad self esteem. I never have been motivated by trying to be amazing in bed. It's just nice to see a good body you can be proud of in the mirror and girls love a tone muscular look as well as the confidence that comes with it.

Most women think it's sexy (or st least that what they said) but I dated once recently who was turned off by it and said it 'takes away' from my body, especially my abs....WHAT?!? I work hard to stay in shape, I go to the gym and YEAH, I like ink and whoever is with me needs to accept that I have a lot of it and will get more! Because abs means low body fat and that can often mean losing your feminine curves. Some women are lucky enough to maintain their curves with low body fat, but it's down to genetics.

While is true that they may get slimmer, doing harcore workouts makes them gain muscle difinition which prety much destroys the natural sexy curves and smooth lines in their body.
i dont think workouts make women sexy...they just get muscular and ugly. For example even the ones that dont do weights .. they run alot and stuff.. so they get big clearly defined thigh muscles.

I went through a stage where i thought the same and worked myself so hard at the gym however i eventually gave it up and now i don't exercise at all. Funny enough i'm much more confident now then i was when i was doing all that exercising and dieting.
I have a typical Latina shape like JLo. I never put on weight and like having soft feminine curves. My boyfriend loves my body that way and i know he would hate it if i started to exercise the way i used to.

All those sit ups will strengthen your abs but exercise needs to be done along with fat loss. When you says sexy abs does that mean flat stomach or flat stomach with rippling ab muscles? Doing X amount of sit ups a day will not target fat loss in your stomach area, you must create a calorie deficiency (i.e. 2,000 calories in and 3,000 calories out per day) to lose fat and exercise to create tone. Your tone will show once bodyfat % is reduced.
You have to be consistant. So do X amount a day, your choice of course but ease your way up, start easy. Also no sit-ups are not enough. But you can add a dumbbell or plate to crunches to add difficulty.Believe it or not but riding a bike can help your abs alot, also do the plank where u get into a push up position but go on your bent elbows instead of hands and hold, don't sag your stomach straight line from your nose to toes.

Start small... Do like 50 or 100 a day. It's more important to be consistent than to do a bunch of situps and not keep up with it. You have a life, right? You can't just stop every 15 minutes to do situps. I bet she started off doing like 50 situps a day.
