I dated a guy who had lost a LOT of weight and had stretch marks on his belly and a fairly sizeable amount of loose skin (he needed a tummy tuck) but that didn't affect my dating him or our sex life.

I've been obese and have stretch marks all over, and some loose skin and I've never had a guy tell me he found it repulsive so if that was the case, I didn't know it. I look like I look...I'd rather have the stretch marks and loose skin than have it all be full of fat again.

Once you get to the point of having sex with them I think you already like them enough that their flaws don't matter. Who cares as long as they seem to care and take care of their body? Sometimes stretch marks can't be avoided due to body building and having babies. It's just shows how well traveled a person is. but first of all i would like to say that these marks arent the end of the world.

they can be concealed with creams and special slimming products that will gradually fade them away.

it is caused when the excess fat get accumulated under the skin as there the body cant really make place for them.

I have stretch marks...carrying 4 kids will do that to a body. I went through a period in my younger years where I despised them. Now though I tend to look at them as my battle scars lol. This notion was put into my head by my partner, who told me he saw them as something to be proud of, they meant I had carried his babies and he loves all of me.

I have stretch marks from being pregnant with my girls, I hate how they look. But if I were to ever be with some other than my husband they would have to deal with them & I wouldn't want to be with someone who wouldn't. Personally I understand them so I don't mind them on someone else.

Its all on how bad they are, if not that bad, then you can look past it, plus it depends, is it an EXTREME turn off for you, because if it is, some people can not be that happy in a relationship.

Hey... interesting observation... but it's not really so much about physical age... as it is time period. What a culture finds attractive changes over time... even in just a matter of years. I think that is what you are really looking at. In the 70's really really masculine men were in, in the 80's it was long haired, glam rockers who looked more like girls than most women do. And...sexiness is in the eye of the beholder. You can't really make a generalization about what all women of a certain age want. The world just isn't that cut and dry.

Actually neither, you need the athletic or "mesomorph" body type to gain muscle easily.

Ectomorphs, or skinny people, have a hard time gaining muscle or fat.

Endomorphs, or fat people, gain muscle easily but gain fat a lot easier.

Mesomorphs, or athletic people, gain muscle easily and lose weight easily.

All these things are genetic, there ain't much you can do to fix them.

If you're looking to gain muscle you need to eat a lot of protein and you need to work those muscles. Low weight and high reps build tone over bulk. You'll be strong, but your muscles won't be large. If you want to get large you need to up the weight, but keep the reps relatively low. I'm talking between 8-12 at most.

If you want that 6 pack, you need to do crunches and lots of cardio. The crunches build the muscle, the cardio burns the fat so you can see the muscle.

I would think a slightly over weight individual would be the easiest. I say this becuase as a skinny guy myself, I have to intake a large amount protein to pack on the weight. Unfortunately this becomes pretty expensive. Where-as a slightly over weight guy could in theory eat a more balanced diet while working out on a regular basis and get toned quicker. Also, depending on the frequency of the workout and the amount would also determine the building of muscle.just remember, steroids are not a good way to help build muscle. You can't get big fast/easy it takes time. Steroids are bad.

so you want a 6 pack eh? that chub not working any more, or is those pencil arms are failing you as you find your self sailing down the stream of life? well young laddie, it all depends on how you move your muscles when you work out. there are different types of movements for curling to get your self cut or big. they are not the same thing. Farmers are big. convicts are cut. you want a convict body i'm sure, so do a warm up before you start working out. I.E. do push ups sit ups, jumping jacks, and a 2 min run. then start working out with light weights for long periods of time 4 sets of 20 reps.

Nice abs on anyone, look nice...it's typically a sign of a generally fit body. Women don't typically get the cut or "6 pack" that guys shoot for...ours are generally just quite tight and firm, versus a soft belly.

Ab strength is useful in some ways, but I'm not aware it makes a signficant difference sexually. I certainly don't seek out great ab guys to date because I think they'll be better in bed. This is the first time i've ever heard anyone try to make that type of connection....

Most women think it's sexy (or st least that what they said) but I dated once recently who was turned off by it and said it 'takes away' from my body, especially my abs....WHAT?!? I work hard to stay in shape, I go to the gym and YEAH, I like ink and whoever is with me needs to accept that I have a lot of it and will get more! This girl seems to think I have a nice body that I am 'defacing' with tattoos, while I see it as an improvement!

The comment really bugged me. She is a 'nice' girl and aside from her comment, I had fun on the date and she seemed into me. I like girls who are INTO my ink though. Ripped arms, those are something that you can enjoy in public without being indecent and showing off the goods to other people.

Big strong arms are a turnon - and more easily achievable than ripped abs. Seems those with the 6-packs are perhaps a little too body-conscious/diet-conscious, possibly to the point of obsession...not good.

niether. I think ripped men are disgusting lookin. They scare me. there is such a thing as too buff. I prefer my men to just be nicely toned. and If I had to choose between toned abs or toned arms I'd go with arms. Especially forarms. So hott!

I'd rather that than ripped abs because the guy with the ripped abs could just be a kid (and so many younger guys can easily have them nowadays), and it usually isn't even real muscle!

If you must choose one to work on, I'd pick focusing on your arms, because that's what ladies focus on first (in most cases), because they can't exactly see your abs through your shirt most of the time!!

Arms...I love great shoulders, great arms...you can always hide the gut...but the arms are just so...*sigh* :-)

Many women work out like tons...working out muscles and all. and think that they get better buttocks and body.

While is true that they may get slimmer, doing harcore workouts makes them gain muscle difinition which prety much destroys the natural sexy curves and smooth lines in their body.

i dont think workouts make women sexy...they just get muscular and ugly. For example even the ones that dont do weights .. they run alot and stuff.. so they get big clearly defined thigh muscles.

On the other hand the real sexy ones dont do all the billy blanks or other workouts like that.. dont get muscled..so they are really cute and sexy. They exercise but it's not harcore stuff so they remain smooth and sexy.

AND THEY HAVE HOT BODY without!! exercising to death.

I see all these infomercials and the women have hard ripped abs.. obviously thats the result from working out lots. do women want to be like that?

That is your opinion and taste, and that is more ore less the opinion of so many men, maybe in part 'cause it's the social traditional way of thinking, or maybe 'cause they are not strong enough!

Femininity and sexiness has nothing to do with muscles! Its about their mind, their attitude and the 'use of their curves and eyes'...

A 'shapy' woman is read as a healthy one, being muscular or not, One with at least a firm good shape (curvy), is simply more physically attractive to most men (or the like-minded) than a fatty or a skinny one. And for sure, a sporty girl is simply healthier.

Anyway, physical attraction is first, about personal tastes.

I think that a lot of women have become programmed into believing that it's attractive. It's portrayed as sexy and being in control of your body.

I went through a stage where i thought the same and worked myself so hard at the gym however i eventually gave it up and now i don't exercise at all. Funny enough i'm much more confident now then i was when i was doing all that exercising and dieting.

I have a typical Latina shape like JLo. I never put on weight and like having soft feminine curves. My boyfriend loves my body that way and i know he would hate it if i started to exercise the way i used to.

Women need to start paying attention to what MEN actually like not what we're told in the media.

Unfortunately though, it's a proven fact that women aim for things to get other womens' approval not mens'.

I'd prefer to see a guy who is just in decent shape. Having well defined muscles, whether it is your abs or another part of your body, gives off the impression that you are a tad too into yourself.

Your answer to this question is going to vary depending on age. Younger girls are going to say yes. College girls and older will have a more realistic answer to the question.

I like my guys to look toned, so that you can tell that they're strong, but not in the body builder way. In fact, I think I would be totally turned off by a guy with a guy who's hard and muscular all over. A healthy amount of toning is attractive - someone who looks good but you can still give a hug to :)

Yes, I do think a six pack is sexy, but that is not all it is about. You can be the hottest guy on the block with the best six pack, and if you come across as arogant and full of yourself, then I guess the six pack doesn't matter to me.

It will be for woman that like muscle guys, but once the guys are old all the muscle will be flappy because the guy won't do anymore excercise when they are getting old. Trust me, My dad had muscle and now he have this nasty flappy thing on his arm. Everytime i see him i think i'm going to go crazy thats y i told him to always wear sweater.
